“Day of the Dead” Animation Workshop

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a celebration of life and death. In Mexican culture, the holiday is not a day of sadness but a festive occasion when the spirits of all deceased come to enjoy the festivities that are prepared for them. It is a demonstration of love and respect for the lost loved ones. To join the celebrations we will create stop motion animations using colorful calaveras (skulls) and calacas (skeletons). It is amazing how an object can be manipulated to create the illusion that it is moving on its own. And we will make that happen using a friendly App on our phones. No experience is required and all 18+ are welcome. All material will be provided. Come celebrate the Day of the Dead in a unique and creative experience.
