the cinema museum presents
loco screening of domicile conjugal aka bed and board (1970)
£10 & under, activities
Between 1959 and 1979, director François Truffaut and actor Jean-Pierre Léaud collaborated on four feature films and one short that followed the life of Antoine Doinel from his stormy teens through marriage, children, divorce, and adulthood. Antoine is now married, with a baby on the way, but still has one foot in adolescence. When he falls for a beautiful Japanese woman, he’s forced to decide where his priorities lie, as a series of comic catastrophes threatens to overwhelm him entirely. As part of the LOCO Film Festival Liberté, Égalité, Hilarité celebration of French comedy, here’s a rare chance to see the complete adventures of Antoine Doinel. Programme supported by Film Hub London, managed by Film London. Proud to be a partner of the BFI Film Audience Network, funded by the National Lottery. filmlondon.org.uk/filmhub. Doors open at 18.30, for a 19.30 start. Refreshments will be available in our licenced cafe/bar.
